Guess who the cook is?

I worked my way from the 'ground up' starting in business through an opportunity my dad gave.  He started me at Gonnella Bread Company in downtown Chicago.  I worked in the shipping room from 10 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.  Not glamorous, but taught me the value of 'roll up your sleeves' work and the real meaning of an honest day's work for an honest day's pay.

Thankfully, I quickly worked my way into Sales for the company and then National Account Sales.  Spent over 10 years there and then moved to two other manufacturers (one in Chicago & one in Boston) through with I progressed to the role of National Sales Manager while also running Customer Service.

Through this process I learned about the management of large staffs, picked up the computer skills I still highly value today and most importantly learned how to juggle multiple high profile projects and how to bring them to successful closure.  While quarterbacking large trade shows, building high level relationships and running new product launches I didn't realized how close I was to my final destiny.

My next leap took me to Scottsdale, AZ where I ended up as Vice President of Purchasing and Supply Chain for one of the largest franchising companies in the country.  It is amazing how having 12 direct reports and 12 brands / concepts will teach you the value of delegation and time management.

Through this tenure I refined my sales, negotiating, relationship, project management, contract and overall Corporate business acumen to the point that I decided it was time to branch of to the private sector.

Reality is what you make it...in this case we made it more fun!

I am a proud graduate of Arizona State University where I majored in Business Communication.

I started my career with Circle K where I was responsible for all local marketing in the Phoenix Metropolitan, Northern Arizona, Tuscon and Las Vegas areas (over 600 store locations).  This involved sports marketing and event marketing inclusive of the Arizona Diamondbacks, ASU, Phoenix International Raceway and Union 76.

My next career step was a move to Wherehouse Music.  This took my understanding and proficiency in talent and event marketing to a whole new level.  I quickly became additionally versed in talent management, venue managment, event management, promotions and foot traffic campaigns.  Unfortunately the advent of IPOD and downloadable music ended one of my favorite careers.

Luckily I found a great company to work for next.  As one of the largest franchising companies in the country they represent over 12 brands.  My skill set quickly expanded to included Operations, Event Planning, Marketing, Creative, Customer Service and Project Management.  I managed multiple staffs, project, events and budgets throughout this tenure and learned quickly how to juggle multiple high level initiatives, staffs and deadlines.  Yeah, you probably noticed, if you look to your left, where Tony and I met.  We started working together and we'll end working together; thankfully a great relationship at the office and out.

Through my ongoing tenure I continually refine my management, event, marketing, relationship, project management and overall Corporate business acumen.  My passion remains events, music, charities and partnerships.
